Cops 4 Cancer Summer Bash Returning To Cedar Point
Unfortunately, cancer hasn't gone away. That means your help is needed in supporting folks dealing with the disease. Two days of live entertainment is planned as part of this years Cops 4 Cancer Summer Event. Music, food, drinks, raffles, and a 50-50 drawing can all be enjoyed this Friday and Saturday at Cerri Memorial Park in Cedar Point.
Labor Of Love Looking For Individuals In Need Of Home Repair Help
An annual charity helping seniors and others repair their homes is ready to dish out some more love. United Way of Eastern La Salle County is again accepting applications for their “Labor of Love” program. “Labor of Love” provides essential home repairs for senior, disabled, and veteran homeowners, at no cost. Repairs are provided to homeowners who cannot do the work themselves because of financial or physical limitations.
Chaser Ellison Wins on Morris Pool of the Illinois River
July 20th, 2023, Seneca, IL – Chaser Ellison from Morris, IL, emerged victorious in the American Fishing Tour (IL 39) tournament. The tournament was held on Morris Pool of the Illinois River, launching from the Seneca ramp, Ellison brought in a 5-fish limit weighing a total of 8.75 pounds, securing his win. His catch also included the tournament’s Big Bass, weighing 2.58 pounds. Ellison was awarded a prize of $313.00 for his win.

OSF HealthCare requested a deferral last week for its permit applications to discontinue Ottawa’s current hospital facility and build a new one. Fire Departments Respond To Reported Garage Fire In La Salle
A fire broke out Monday afternoon a few blocks northeast of L-P High School. Just past 12:30, La Salle, Peru and Utica firefighters were called about a garage on fire in the 800 block of Lafayette Street. The detached garage was fully engulfed by time crews started arriving.
