Just yesterday, we were driving back from Florida and decided to treat ourselves with a stop at McDonald's (a rare indulgence at our house). Study shows more than 340,000 acres of Indiana farmland gone
(The Center Square) – Indiana lost nearly 2% of its farmland over 12 years. That’s according to a legislative-directed study by state agricultural officials. The inventory conducted by the Indiana State Department of Agriculture determined the acreage of parcels devoted to farming fell by a net total of 345,682 acres to slightly less than 18 million acres. With 640 acres in a square mile, that works out to slightly more than 540 square miles lost from 2010 to 2022. ...

After filing for bankruptcy, a small Arby's franchisee is selling some locations and closing others. Miracle Restaurant Group LLC, a company based out of Louisiana has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection. Black Pine Animal Sanctuary opened its doors for their first ever summer camp this year, beginning in June. Fourth of July fireworks causing major fog in Michiana
ELKHART COUNTY, Ind. -- Fireworks could be heard across Michiana Thursday night in celebration of Independence Day, but when the smoke from those fireworks mixed with the humid air at US 20 bypass, chaos happened in the form of a thick fog that caused an almost 15 car pile-up. Meteorologist Nathan Marsili from the National Weather Service (NWS) explained that the firework smoke and humidity caused from rainfall in Elkhart County created something called an inversion in the atmosphere.
