Crosscutters movie night features on-field screening of 'Wonka'

Williamsport, Pa. — Fans who attend the Crosscutters home game on July 21 are invited to stay after the game to watch the movie "Wonka" on the big screen.

As an added perk, the first 1,000 fans who pass through the ballpark gates will receive a free chocolate bar, courtesy of Lang's Chocolates. Five of the chocolate bars will include a special golden ticket.

Instead of receiving a tour of a whimsical chocolate factory with questionable safety practices like the one featured in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, golden ticket holders at the Crosscutters game will win exclusive prizes. The team has revealed that one golden ticket prize is a Bryce Harper autographed MLB baseball.

The Sunday home game will see the Cutters face off against the Frederick Keys of Maryland. Game time is 4:05 p.m. and gates open at 3 p.m. on Sunday. Tickets are still available starting at $8 each at crosscutters.com , by phone at 570-326-3389, or in-person at the Journey Bank Ballpark box office.

All fans must have a game ticket to watch the movie. Per MLB Draft League rules, no outside food or beverages may be brought into the stadium. Cutters food and beverage stands will remain open for a duration of the movie.

In addition to movie night, the game will feature Baseball Bingo, presented by Shop Vac and SK Tools. Baseball Bingo is free to play for all attendees ages 18-plus. Ten fans who participate will win a new Shop Vac.

Commonwealth Charter Academy is also presenting "Kids Run the Bases," where children ages 12 and under can get on field and run the bases after the game.

The Williamsport Crosscutters captured the 2024 MLB Draft League 1st Half Championship and will host the league’s Championship Game at Journey Bank Ballpark on September 5 against the 2nd Half Champion.
