Williamsport, Pa. — Two local nonprofits have come together to create a relief fund for those affected by flooding damage from Hurricane Debby.

The Lycoming County United Way has launched a fundraising campaign to support the Disaster Relief Committee of United Churches of Lycoming County.

By partnering with the United Way, the committee hopes to increase the amount of aid and make distribution easier.

“We are incredibly grateful for our partnership with the United Churches of Lycoming County,” said Amber Newell, Director of Community Impact at the Lycoming County United Way.

“Their established infrastructure and community-focused approach are invaluable as we work together to provide relief to those impacted by Hurricane Debby. Our joint efforts will help deliver much-needed aid and support to those facing the challenges of flood recovery.”

Community members and businesses are encouraged to contribute to the Lycoming County United Way’s Lycoming County Flood Relief Fund. Donations will be channeled directly to the Disaster Relief Committee to maximize their impact.
