Loyalsock, Pa. — A man pushed his brother into a car and punched him several times, police say.

Dave Elisha Talbert, 30, told his brother he wanted to talk after following him to his home on Aug. 8 at 8 p.m., Trooper Philip Kyle said. Talbert pulled into a driveway by a home in the 1400 block of Country Club Lane, Kyle added.

After refusing to talk, Talbert grabbed the victim by the neck and slammed him into a car, according to the complaint. Talbert allegedly punched the victim seven times as he was lying on the ground.

Talbert’s girlfriend broke up the assault, according to Kyle.

Police spoke with the victim, who had a black eye, scratches on his neck, and a swollen and bruised lip.

Talbert is being charged with simple assault and harassment. He is free on $15,000 unsecured bail while awaiting a preliminary hearing at the end of the month.
