Williamsport, Pa. — A child was abandoned after allegedly being punched multiple times by a woman at the Little League Grand Slam Parade.

Dreena Natasha Reed, 31, of Williamsport texted, “I beat the s**t out of him” to a person after the assault on Elmira Street and W. Fourth Street, according to the complaint. Reed struck the minor three to five times before allegedly pulling the child by their hair up the street.

Following the assault, Reed walked away from the young victim, leaving the child alone at the Grand Slam Parade in downtown Williamsport, police said. In a text, Reed told an individual that the cops were looking for her and to “come get him [victim] u can have him or he going to cys,” according to the affidavit.

An eye-witness allegedly told police that Reed pulled the victim down the street. Police found hair near the victim. The victim allegedly had scratches on his face and swelling on his cheek.

Reed was arrested in 400 block of Kramer Court several hours after the attack. Reed admitted to pulling the victim’s hair and shirt to get them to leave the parade, but denied hitting the child.

Reed is being charged with endangering the welfare of children, simple assault, and harassment. She is being held on $35,000 monetary bail at the Lycoming County Prison. A preliminary hearing with Judge Christian Frey is scheduled for this week.
