UPMC Muncy support staff member honored with BEE Award

Williamsport, Pa. — A staff member with UPMC Muncy has been honored with a BEE Award for his outstanding support of the nursing team.

The BEE Award, meaning Be Extraordinary Every Day, recognizes the care team that supports nursing staff and works closely with them to provide patients with the compassion and care they need.

Jeff Horn, security officer, Safety and Security, was nominated by a co-worker who shared:

“Jeff is a huge asset to UPMC and the prime example of a team player. Despite having his own job to do, he constantly assists others to make their work easier. Whether it’s getting a bed from 2 main to make a patient in the emergency department more comfortable, watching the board for discharges so rooms can be cleaned quickly, or stripping a bed, he always volunteers to help.

Walking in and seeing that Jeff is working just makes your day better. You know that no matter how busy or crazy the day may be, Jeff will be there to help anyway he can.”
