Towanda, Pa. — An argument over dinner ended in assault and charges for a Towanda woman.

Melissa Carr, 44, told police her husband ate “too much dinner” on Aug. 5, resulting in an argument between the two, Officer Anthony Carpenter said. The accuser allegedly threw lasagna at Carr before the assault. Sauce covered the kitchen, Carpenter added.

Bleeding scratches on the victim’s shoulders, chest, and back could be seen as police interviewed him at a home in 100 block of Poplar Street, according to the complaint. The victim and Carr had sauce on them.

Carr allegedly denied hitting the accuser. She did not have any marks from the alleged assault, according to Carpenter.

Carr is being charged with simple assault and harassment. She is incarcerated on $2,000 monetary bail. A formal arraignment is scheduled for Aug. 27.

Maybe if she didn't throw the sauce everywhere, there would have been enough.🤣🤣🤣
