Lewisburg, Pa. — This September, Gallery 255 will display the dazzling oil paintings of Lina Ferrara.

Ferrara's paintings excel at highlighting everyday scenes, animals, and flowers with her skilled usage of light and color. Her style has been described as "ethereal and impressionistic."

Ferrara's artwork has gained international acclaim, with her paintings earning spots in various private collections around the world and institutions like the White House and the Library of Congress. Her style and painting subjects are frequently inspired by her childhood, when she lived on a farm in Italy, and her later studies in art history.

The Public Library for Union County, the home of Gallery 255, will host an artist reception on Saturday, Sept. 17 at 1 p.m. Register to attend by calling 570-523-1172, visiting the library, or registering online.

The library is open from 9:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday, and from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday.

Some of Ferrara’s paintings are available to purchase through fine art fairs and her website. For more details, visit www.lina-ferrara.com .

Artists and organizations who wish to display items in the library gallery may visit unioncountylibraries.org/displays for details and to submit an application.
