    Bradford County man indicted for drug trafficking and firearms offenses

    Scranton, Pa. — A Bradford County man was indicted by a federal grand jury for drug trafficking and firearm offenses.

    Jamar McDowell, 32, of Columbia Crossroads, was in Bradford County on May 30 when he was caught drugs and charged with possession with intent to distrubute cocaine, fentanyl, methamphetamine, psilocin, and marijuana, according to a release from the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Middle District of Pennsylvania. The indictment also alleges McDowell had a Glock 37 .45 caliber handgun in furtherance of a drug trafficking crime.

    The charges stem from a joint investigation conducted by Homeland Security Investigations Buffalo Border Enforcement Security Taskforce, the Elmira Police Department, and the Pennsylvania State Police. Assistant United States Attorney Tatum Wilson is prosecuting the case.

    The maximum penalty under federal law for the crimes charged in the indictment is life in prison.
