Coudersport, Pa. — A Ulysses man is charged with attempted murder after police were called to a home in Potter County at 5 a.m. Saturday morning.

Stephen William Connolly, 39, was arrested and taken to jail following an incident at a home in the 400 block of Cherry Springs Road, according to Trooper Joel Miles of state police at Coudersport. Troopers responded to a report of shots being fired inside the home and found Connolly arguing with a 49-year-old man. Connolly disobey police orders and was tasered before being taken into custody.

Victims include the 49-year-old man, a 29-year-old woman, a 53-year-old woman, and two children, ages 12 and 6. Police say he drove to the home with the intent to hurt one of the victims.

Connolly is facing three counts of attempted homicide, burglary, aggravated assault, possession of a prohibited firearm, criminal trespass, terroristic threats, reckless endangerment, possession of an instrument of crime, and simple assault. He was arraigned and taken to the Potter County Jail, where he remains without bail.
