Williamsport, Pa. — The Williamsport Bureau of Police are investigating an alleged carjacking in downtown Williamsport.

Authorities were called to the Bullfrog Brewery parking lot in the 200 block of West Fourth Street on Sunday, Sept. 22, around 3 p.m. A caller reported a carjacking that just occurred.

According to police, the victim was sitting in his black 2009 Toyota Camry when a short, white male approached his vehicle and opened the door. The man was described to be in his late 20s, with stubble facial hair and wearing a light T-shirt.

The suspect allegedly pointed what the victim believed to be a gun under his shirt, and told him get out of the car. Once the victim exited the vehicle, the suspect threatened to strike him with a fist before driving the Toyota westbound on West Fourth Street, police said.

Officers were later able to locate the vehicle running and unoccupied in the area of St. David's Road and Edercrest Road in Loyalsock Township.

This investigation is ongoing, police said. If you have any information regarding this investigation, you're asked to contact PO William Badger at 570-327-7560 or via email at wbadger@cityofwilliamsport.org . Tips can also be submitted online via the "Submit a Tip" link here .

Bullfrog Brewery doesn’t have a parking lot. Poor reporting.
