    Perfect 2 Perfect: Walnut Street sale

    We are having a whole home estate sale with two floors and a two-car garage and basement loaded with items!

    The address is 708 Walnut St., Montoursville, and will be held Sept. 26-28 starting at 8:30 a.m. each day. The sale ends at 3 p.m. on Thursday, 2 p.m. on Friday, and Saturday until noon. This home is filled with beautiful furnishings and a larger collection of nice antique oil lamps. This home is very clean and a non-smoking, non-pet owning home.

    First we want to address parking: Cars are allowed on the side opposite the home on Walnut Street. There is also additional parking available on Pearl Boulevard or on Weaver Street. We are asking everyone to be aware that parking in a driveway or blocking a driveway is not allowed and we ask that shoppers use care and observe the areas where fire hydrants are in place, too. As always, be careful when approaching the sale to ensure all pedestrians can cross the road and attend or leave the sale safely.

    In this sale, the furniture is of excellent quality, featuring names such as Pennsylvania House, Ethan Allen, Sumter, Flex Steel, Rway, mattress sets by Sterns and Foster, and other quality names as well! You will not be disappointed.

    In furniture, we have a beautiful table with four chairs by Ethan Allen; this table comes with one leaf. We have a more formal dining table with matching hutch by Sumter in dark cherry in the formal dining room with beautiful Queen Anne-style legs and six matching chairs. This more formal table has two leaves (not photographed), as well as a set of pads.

    In the kitchen area, we have a nice Colonial Ethan Allen Secretarial Desk with fold-up work surface and Queen Anne legs and a Vermonter Ice Box. Also in the kitchen area is very nice oak Hoosier cabinet with all the accessories. On the wall, we have a Pennsylvania House Special Edition Regulator Clock with chime and gong strike, We also have a nice small cherry curio, perfect for displaying items in a small footprint area. In the formal living room, we have a beautiful Pennsylvania House powder blue wingback chair. There is a sofa which accents this chair beautifully. In the living room is a nice pair of upholstered cream color rocking swivel chairs from Pennsylvania House, separated by a cherry triangle drop leaf table. In one corner of the living room is a gorgeous Imperial drop leaf table in mahogany. It features lion head drawer pulls and a very nice Duncan Phyfe-style legs with claw feet. We also have an immaculate Pennsylvania House cherry hall table. There is also a beautiful mahogany with Italian marble top oval table and two parlor chairs featuring needlepoint finished seating. In the other corner of the room is a beautiful Bombay cherry coffee table.

    In the family room, we have a stunning Flex Steel three cushion sofa and a nice La-Z-boy leather recliner. We also have an older decorative radio cabinet which has an oak veneer finish by Philco. There is a nice Pennsylvania House entertainment center capable of holding up to a 42-inch TV in the family room, along with a nice cherry finish coffee table and matching end table by Ethan Allen.

    In bedroom furniture, we have two queen size beds — one with a brass headboard and metal frame and one with a wooden cannonball-style headboard and metal frame. Both have excellent mattress and box spring sets. In another room, we have gorgeous matching mahogany finished Rway Twin Beds with wooden side rails, headboard, footboards, and quality mattress and box spring sets being sold complete. We also have matching dresser with mirror and a chest of drawers by Rway that are some of the nicest sets we have ever seen or sold. In the room with the brass queen bed, we have a nice chest-on-chest and a matching dresser with mirror, featuring dentil molding and dust barriers between drawers, along with two night stands — all made by Sterling House. In the bedroom with the cannonball bed, there is an antique oak chest with four drawers and glass pull knobs.

    In appliances, we have a three-year-old washer/dryer set: Maytag Top Load Washer and a 7 CU Ft Electric Clothes dryer. Both of these items are very lightly used and are ready for immediate pickup on Facebook Marketplace. We will take these items off on Sunday and you will have to wait until the sale to get them at that point. We also have a nice 1930s-era Philco Radio in an oak veneer cabinet being sold “As is” since it is not operating, but has all of the tube sets in place.

    In small appliances, we have a nice Kitchenaid mixer — just in time to start making those holiday cookies and great desserts! Eden Pure Quartz Infrared portable heater, like new crock pot, David Armstrong prints include “Edge of Evening” poster Signed LE Framed and “Family” Signed LE Framed. We also have an original LE Print by William Nelson, original oil by Herb Parnell, three original oils by signed by an artist “Ducharme,” original prints by Al Barker which were distributed by Ethan Allen. There is also a number of color Nicholas Rosato framed prints for sale at this home, too.

    Upstairs, we have some framed Oshie art Japanese motif signed by B. O’Neal. There is an enamel copper overlay framed piece from J. Kooper titled “Safe Landing,” along with the Certificate of Authenticy. We have other prints available through the home for purchase, as well as some very nice needlepoint pieces. In the family room, there is a nice vintage Navajo sand art

    In collectibles and apart from some very nice art pieces, we have a complete collection of the Franklin Mint 1988 collector’s egg series and stand. We also other alabaster and porcelain eggs for purchase separately and a very nice Franklin Mint “A King is Born" egg, along with Edgewood Jasperware heart-shaped trinket boxes. In kitchenware, we have Pyrex casserole and lasagna dishes, Pyrex measuring cups and a pie plate, Spode Christmas tree cups and saucers with wooden trivets and serving platter, RS Prussia, MZ Prussia plates and bowls, salt dips, cut glass, vintage Columbia Bubble Depression glass plates and serving plate, silverplate serving pieces, White sewing machine treadle base made into a table, Lenox vases, English teacups and teapots, Wade tea figurines with Noah’s Ark, Cornflower Corning pieces, Yellow Ware bowl, wooden spoons and utensils, blue enamel clam pot, Japanese Export brass lamp, old school desk with a cast iron base, Sessions mantle clock, and, as mentioned earlier, over 60 oil lamps for purchase!

    In household goods, we have various China and dishware sets, Anchor Hocking hot carrier serving dish with padded case, stainless silverware set, candles, floral displays, picture frames, including one digital picture frame, clear glasses and stemware.

    In terms of some really nice hand-built items, we have a very nice and well-done dollhouse, along with lots of doll furniture that was handmade as well. We also have an adorable child’s hutch available downstairs. Continuing downstairs, we have lots of Christmas and Easter décor items, along with some fall décor. We also have a lot of large green storage bins and lots of great puzzles in excellent condition — even some that are new and never opened!

    In clothing, we have 1-1/2 rooms upstairs filled with quality women’s clothing, with some size medium and a majority of clothing being large and XL. Shoes are all in very good condition and are sizes 6-1/2 to size 7 with some boots and even a nice pair of Cole Hahn. We also have two closets full of very nice ladies jackets! For linens, we have twin and queen size sheets, bedspreads, and comforters. We also have blankets and bed and throw pillows.

    Beauty and health items are also available with many like-new curling irons along with hair supplies and hair care items. We also have a lot of new lotions from Bath and Body Works and some perfumes as well.

    Out in the garage and in the basement, we have hand tools, power tools, garden tools, lawn tools, paints, spray paints, and a nice propane gas grill. We also have an old wagon wheel for sale too. We have lots of planters and flower pots and some really nice brass containers for planting or decoration. Outside, we have an adorable small shed that is constructed like an old outhouse with an open air design around the base of the roof.

    We have a lot of craft supplies, craft paints, brushes, sewing notions, and threads, and much more in the garage.

    As always, this sale will have box lots of items to go through out in the garage as well. Be sure to get here early and plan on staying for some time to be able to see everything we have for sale!
