Williamsport, Pa. — A man sold ten pills to an informant for $200 in marked bills, police said.

Duane Elliot Adams, 49, of Williamsport agreed to sell fentanyl pills after the informant contacted him while investigators listened, according to a complaint. The informant was given $200 after they agreed to meet Adams on the 300 block of Memorial Avenue, detectives with the Lycoming County Narcotics Enforcement Unit said.

Adams allegedly gave the informant ten pills for the cash. He had the money in his pocket when police arrested him after the buy, according to detectives. The informant turned the pills over to investigators.

Adams is being charged with delivery of a controlled substance and criminal use of a communication facility. Both are felonies.

Adams is being held at the Lycoming County Prison on $85,000 monetary bail. He is scheduled to appear for a preliminary hearing this week.
