Trout Run, Pa. — Leaders of Camp Susque said they were deeply honored to receive a contribution of $50,000 from the EQT Foundation during Susque's 10th Annual Harvest Festival and Trail Run on Sept. 24.

Kelly Coppadge of EQT Corp. presented the check to Executive Director of Camp Susque Peter Swift alongside Board Chairman Josh Knauss.

This is the second significant grant given to Camp Susque by the EQT Foundation.

Half of the grant funds will be used for the camp's new pool project, which is scheduled for completion next year. The total cost of the pool project is estimated at $1.2 million.

The remaining $25,000 of the grant is designated as a capacity-building grant for upgrading Susque's technology infrastructure. The funds will be used to improve software systems, replace computers, and perform other technological upgrades.

Aside from the two grants, EQT Corp. has been a generous supporter of Camp Susque, the organization said. They sponsored the Harvest Festival and provided $5,000 to offset costs of the Trout Run Day Camp, which was then offered for free to the community. EQT also donated financial support and materials, tools, equipment, and volunteers to help Trout Run and Lewis Township after Tropical Storm Debby flooded the area.

"We are incredibly grateful to the EQT Foundation and EQT Corporation for their continued support," said Peter Swift, director. "Their contributions not only help fund essential projects like our pool but also empower us to enhance our ability to serve the local community through upgraded technology and resources. EQT has been a key partner in helping us live out our mission."

Aside from EQT's contributions, the harvest festival and trail run were fantastic successes, drawing thousands of visitors, over 50 vendors, and, 300 trail runners.
