Muncy Creek Township, Pa. — Police are investigating an attempted burglary at the R & J Welch Firearms store in Muncy Creek Township that occurred on Sept. 26, and have made an arrest.

"Through the investigation all actors were identified," a news release said. Police arrested Khanif Nizir Tribune Carter on Oct. 2, and remanded him to the Lycoming County Prison in leu of $100,000 bail.

Carter, 18, of Williamsport, is charged with three felonies, including theft by unlawful taking, criminal attempt of burglary, and conspiracy to commit burglary. He's also charged with misdemeanor possession of an instrument of crime with intent.

He faces a preliminary hearing on Oct. 18.

According to PSP Montoursville, the attempted burglary and a vehicle theft in Muncy Borough were related crimes, perpetrated by the same actors. Police said there are juveniles involved with the incident who they are not able to publicly identify because of their age.

This is an ongoing investigation, and authorities continue to ask the public for information. Using an app called " See Something, Send Something ," the public can share information that goes directly to the Pennsylvania Criminal Intelligence Center (PACIC) department which then sends the information to the appropriate agency or station. The app is available for both Android and Apple devices.

The See Something, Send Something app offers information to educate the user on what to look for, and when to submit suspicious activity reports. It can also be configured to receive important alerts.

Additionally, a Community Access to Information Dashboard is available from PSP to keep the public informed of criminal investigations, arrests, and drug investigations. The dashboard is updated every 14 days, according to PSP. Learn more about that here .

Time to start identifying these juveniles. If they are old enough to commit the crime, then they are old enough to have their identities made public.

I'm guessing this was an attempted break-in?
