Employees at local school district charged for sending explicit photos to minor
Lock Haven, Pa. — Two employees for Keystone Central School District allegedly sent sexually explicit photos to a 14-year-old. Dana Ann Kitchen, 36, and Brittany Kay Koch, 29, were employed as staff support members at the school district, according to a release from the Clinton County District Attorney’s Office. Kitchen and Koch were arraigned Friday in Renovo by District Judge Frank Mills. Both women are being charged with two counts each of corruption of minors and unlawful contact with a minor. Bail is set at $25,000 monetary for Kitchen and Koch. They are scheduled to appear for a preliminary hearing in Lock Haven Tuesday, July 23, morning. Go Joe charity ride kicks off in Lock Haven
Lock Haven, Pa. — For the 27th year in a row, WNEP meteorologist Joe Snedeker hit the pavement for an annual charity bike ride to benefit St. Joseph's Center. The charity ride kicked off in Lock Haven on July 22. Each year, people along Snedeker's ride routes line the streets and Lock Haven was no exception: Snedeker was met with smiling faces, live music, and plenty of cheers. New restaurant construction makes progress
Buckhorn, Pa. — Although it appears construction on the new Chipotle restaurant building and parking lot outside Bloomsburg are nearing completion, a restaurant spokesman says the new location likely won't open until the fall. The Mexican grill fast-food restaurant, 10 Wedgetown Road in Buckhorn, has been under construction for months. Chipotle spokesman Annie Gradinger says the location will feature the restaurant's signature "Chipotlane," a drive-through pick-up lane that allows customers to pick up digital orders without leaving their cars. Chipotle's website has posted several jobs for the Buckhorn location, including kitchen leader and service leader, as well as crew members.

Juvenile assaults counselors at treatment center
Cogan Stataion, Pa. — A 15-year-old boy was charged after he allegedly assaulted a counselor with a broomstick at a residential treatment center in Lewis Township. Trp. Gage Fischer of state police at Montoursville said troopers were called the evening of July 7 to the center on Saint Michaels Road for a report of assault. The boy allegedly also had thrown several palm-size rocks at two other counselors. A written allegation was filed through the juvenile probation office with charges of aggravated assault, simple assault, and harassment.

Clinton County man indicted for receipt, possession of child porn
Williamsport, Pa. — A Clinton County man was indicted in federal court on charges of receipt and possession of child sex abuse materials. Felix Trepanowski, 23, received child pornography on December 31, 2022 and April 27, according to a release from the United States Attorney's Office for the Middle District of Pennsylvania. Trepanowski also allegedly possessed child pornography on May 21. The case was investigated by the FBI-RAC Williamsport and the Pennsylvania State Police. Assistant United States Attorney Tatum Wilson is prosecuting the case. The maximum penalty under federal law for these offenses is 20 years, with a mandatory minimum sentence of five years and a term of supervised release following imprisonment.
Man spotted driving recklessly multiple times in Renovo arrested
Renovo, Pa. — A 21-year-old Montandon man is facing felony and misdemeanor charges stemming from what police describe as "an ongoing incident" from June 17 to July 4. Nathaniel S. Strouse was driving at a high rate of speed up and down Fifth Street in Renovo on June 17. Homeless arsonist stopped by State College public works employee
State College, Pa. — A public works employee who put a fire out helped identify a homeless man accused of arson in State College. Benjamin Randolph Hamby, 41, of State College allegedly set a large garbage pile on fire near the intersection of East Calder Way and Sowers Street. Suspect rips business off for $13,000
Selinsgrove, Pa. — An unknown suspect used a credit card with insufficient funds to pay for $13,000 of building products, police say. Around June 26, the suspect called Kohl Building Products in Penn Township and ordered building products including roof shingles, according to Trp. Derek Gill of state police at Selinsgrove. The sales representative took the order over the phone along with a credit card number provided by the suspect. The suspect then promptly went to the business to pick up the products.
