Ethan Allen Elementary School eighth-graders enjoyed their class trip, a visit to Otherworld, 2500 Grant Ave. The eighth-grade class trip had been scheduled for February, when the students were supposed to see a performance of A Raisin in the Sun, at Bristol Riverside Theatre. North Catholic alums announce scholarship recipients
The Northeast Catholic Alumni Association has chosen the scholarship recipients of its annual $500,000 in tuition grants. The recipients are 10 in grade school, 20 in high school and five in college, who are the children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren of alumni association members. The money is given over three years for students in grade school and four years for students in high school and college.

Kids Fest in Torresdale
State Sen. Jimmy Dillon, Rep. Pat Gallagher and City Councilman Mike Driscoll recently sponsored Kids Fest at Torresdale Boys Club. Hundreds of motorcyclists ride to benefit FOP Survivors Fund
The 17th annual Philadelphia Fallen Heroes Memorial Motorcycle Ride kicked off on Sunday from Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 5 headquarters. The Bullets Law Enforcement Motorcycle Club led the fundraiser to benefit the FOP’s Survivors Fund, which provides financial assistance and support to Philadelphia police officers and their families who have been injured or killed in the line of duty.
