    David Drees of Drees Homes names Tim Terrell new president, as Dan Jones retires

    Drees Homes, a national home builder based in Northern Kentucky, has announced the retirement of a long-time contributor to the homebuilding industry and the appointment of the organization’s newest President.

    The retirement of Executive Vice President of Homebuilding Operations Dan Jones is the catalyst for change within the company’s leadership structure. Jones joined Drees Homes in 2001 following the acquisition of Zaring Homes, where he served as president. In his most recent role, he oversaw the company’s 13 metropolitan divisions and led marketing, production, land and product strategy. Jones has been instrumental in guiding the company through some of the most challenging periods, including economic downturns and the pandemic.

    On Jones’ retirement, Tim Terrell, the Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, will be promoted to President, while David Drees continues to serve as CEO.

    Terrell has been a strategic partner since 2017, guiding key company decisions and overseeing several departments. Prior to joining Drees, Terrell was the Vice President of Finance and Capital Management at the Kroger Company.
