Villa Madonna took a 1-0 lead in the opening minutes. After a goal by St. Henry senior Chloe Shea tied the score, Knollman put two balls in the net during the final eight minutes of the first half to give the Crusaders a 3-1 lead at the break.

A goal by Avery Pleiman put St. Henry ahead, 4-1, early in the second half of the victory that puts the Crusaders in the 35th District finals and clinches a 9th Region tournament berth for the 11th time in the last 12 years.

St. Henry (6-8-3) will play the winner of the Dixie Heights-Ludlow match in the district final at 5:30 p.m. Thursday. In the last 12 years, Dixie Heights has won seven district titles and St. Henry has won five.
