Sponsored by First National Bank of Kentucky, the award was given out at the NKY Chamber’s Eggs ‘N Issues event held on October 15. Roberts was sworn into office on March 3, 2020, and she is the first woman to hold the House District 67 seat, serving the people of Campbell County and Kentucky. She also was elected House Minority Whip in 2022, making her one of only six women in Kentucky history to be elected to House leadership.

A Newport resident, she is also the owner of The Yoga Bar, a local center for mindfulness, and provides mindfulness courses for local first responders, conducts trainings for Fortune 500 companies, and has hosted international retreats. She is co-owner at RAKE Strategies, a branding and communications consultancy, which allows her to consult political campaigns, provide crisis communications services, and helps businesses define their brand from launch to legacy.

“Representative Roberts has helped pave the way for women in politics within the Commonwealth and has made a significant impact in the Northern Kentucky community,” said Brent Cooper, president and CEO of the NKY Chamber. “Her remarkable dedication to the community is evident through roles such as serving on the board of directors for the Newport Business Council, the Buenger Boys & Girls Club and being a State Director for Women in Government, among many others. Roberts is a champion for health care, children, crime victims, public schools and teachers, as well as an advocate for economic issues and job creation. We’re honored to award her with the NKY Community Award.”
