Northfield Arts Guild celebrates 65 years of arts support

The Northfield Arts Guild held its 65th birthday bash on Sunday, Aug. 18 in downtown Northfield at Bridge Square. The event celebrated the Northfield Arts Guild’s many artistic, educational and theatrical contributions to the community over the past six decades.

The culture-rich afternoon included food, art and craft projects, remarks from Northfield Mayor Rhonda Pownell and Northfield Arts Guild Executive Director Michael Johnson along with music and dance performances. Attendees enjoyed community caterer Ruth Stafford’s gluten free sweet treats.

The entertainment schedule included appearances by guitarist Aidan Gersky, a “My Fair Lady” musical theater preview, a few songs by the Bleacher Girls and performance by the colorfully costumed Northfield dance group Folklorico.
