Artwork by Epic Enterprises participants showcased at Paradise
Artwork by 35 artists associated with Epic Enterprise in Dundas will be on display at the Paradise Center for the Arts, 321 Central Ave. N in Faribault from September 25 – November 11. The exhibit in the K&M Gallery includes sculpted clay gnomes, watercolor landscapes, and several collaborative clay wind chimes. On a sweltering gridiron at Memorial Field, the Northfield High School football team was issued a tough 42-0 loss against non-conference opponent Chaska on Saturday, Sept. 30. CDL Academy begins lessons at fairgrounds
By the Rice County Fairgrounds grandstand, two 18-wheelers filled the air with beeps and covered the dirt in tire tracks. The trucks were with Above and Beyond CDL Driving Academy. Northfield council approves 11.5% preliminary tax levy increase
The Northfield City Council approved a preliminary levy increase of 11.5% with only one holdout. But there was also plenty concern about the potentially unsustainable direction of the city budget, with large increases to the levy projected over the next five years. Appeals Court hears arguments over dismissed Rice County elections case
The Minnesota Court of Appeals heard arguments this week over whether a lawsuit against Rice County’s elections director should have been dismissed.
