Bus routes to update with simplified schedule, new stops
New Hiawathaland Transit bus routes and schedules are now in effect in Faribault and Northfield. The fixed routes within both cities and the Connect Route between the two cities are changing. Charges: Man stabbed ex's new boyfriend in the arm
A Northfield man allegedly threatened and stabbed a Faribault man in the arm because the man was dating his ex-girlfriend. The injury was not life-threatening. Justin Lee Wroblewski, 34, is now charged in Rice County District Court with felony counts of assault with a dangerous weapon, domestic assault and terroristic threats. Northfield 26-year-old killed in 2-vehicle crash Friday on Highway 19
A Northfield 26-year-old was killed while a 21-year-old was reportedly left in life threatening condition after a two-vehicle crash on Highway 19 Friday, June 30. Dan Alejandro Venegas Garcia, 26, the driver of a 2007 Honda CR-V, was killed in the collision, while Zurisadail Venegas Garcia, the passenger, was taken to HCMC in life threatening condition. Northfield police report fatal 2-vehicle crash Friday on Highway 19
On Friday, June 30 at 10:20 a.m. a crash was reported on Hwy 19 west of Armstrong Road involving two vehicles that collided head on.
