Listeria concerns lead to expanded recall of produce sold in New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut
A voluntary recall of cucumbers and bagged salads sold in New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut due to possible listeria contamination has been expanded to include additional produce.Earlier this month, Wiers Farm recalled whole cucumbers and bagged salads with pack dates of June 5 and June 6.While the products involved are past their shelf life, the recall has been expanded to others in response to an investigation.Products involved in the expanded recall were packed between July 5-12 and sold under the brand names Wiers Farm and Freshire Farms.According to the FDA, the move is being made out of an abundance...
Investigation Leads To Guns, Cash, Drugs, Middletown Duo Charged, Police Say
The incident occurred in Orange County on Thursday, July 25, at three locations in the city of Middletown. According to Lt. Jeffry Thoelen of the Middletown Police, the Department's Narcotics Unit executed three no-knock search warrants at two residences and a storage unit, concluding an extensive two-year investigation into the sale and trafficking of fentanyl and cocaine in and around the Middletown area.

Abigail Horn Charged With Attempted Homicide Of Infant: DA
Abigail Horn, 18, is charged with attempted homicide, aggravated assault, and endangering the welfare of a child, prosecutors wrote in a release. Witnesses told Bethlehem police in May that they saw Horn "smothering" the then-6-week-old child, according to authorities.
