Winebow recently hosted a master class featuring the Misguided Spirits brand at Union Kitchen on June 17. Misguided Spirits’ James Zinkand, Co-founder, and Geena Zinkand, Partner, Marketing and Activations, were on-site to lead guests through an education and tasting of the line of artisanal spirits, ending with an industry happy hour with cocktails created by MeKayla Roy, Bar Manager, Union Kitchen, and the venue’s bar team. Launched in Nashville, Tennessee, in 2023 by Chad Wodskow and James Zinkand, Misguided Spirits is an employee-owned and -operated company specializing in craft spirits made by bartenders in honor of “misunderstood figures from the past.” The brand is distributed in Connecticut through Winebow.

Hartford Athletic picked up a point at home in their scoreless draw against Phoenix Rising FC tonight. Though ending scoreless, tonight’s matchup was not short of scoring opportunities. Hartford wasted no time setting the tone for a strong offensive presence, crashing Phoenix’s attacking third right out of the gate. The Green and Blue saw their first chance at an early lead with less than 10 minutes on the clock after they were awarded a free kick right outside Phoenix’s box. Mamadou Dieng made contact with the kick, sending a strong header ricocheting off a Rising defender to earn Hartford a corner kick. Two arrested after child exploitation operation in Hartford
HARTFORD, CT (WFSB) - Two men were arrested after a child exploitation operation in Hartford Thursday. Hartford police say that the Special Investigations Division, along with the FBI Crimes Against Children/Human Trafficking Task Force, conducted the operation and caught the two suspects after they responded to an undisclosed location with the intent to exchange money for sexual acts with a minor.
