In honor of Earth Day this year, Human Bean Northern Colorado partnered with Trees for the Future in an effort to restore landscapes and fight hunger in developing countries. For every drink sold at either of their 10 drive-thru locations on April 22, Human Bean Northern Colorado pledged to donate one tree via Trees for the Future.
Rabid Bat Found in Larimer County
The Larimer County Department of Health and Environment (LCDHE) has confirmed that a bat in Larimer County has tested positive for rabies. This is the first rabid animal found in Larimer County this year. The sick bat was found on a porch in a neighborhood near Drake and Timberline in Fort Collins on Thursday, April 25. The bat was captured by NOCO Humane Animal Protection & Control and later tested positive for rabies.

Committee Passes Bill to Establish Passenger Rail for Colorado
DENVER, CO – The House Transportation, Housing & Local Government Committee recently passed legislation aimed at leveraging millions in federal infrastructure funding to bring passenger rail service to Colorado and expanding public transportation options across the state. SB24-184 passed by a vote of 8-3. “Once in a generation federal infrastructure funding is giving us the opportunity to build an expanded passenger rail system that will create the transportation options Coloradans have been asking for,” said Speaker Julie McCluskie. “In addition to creating transit that reduces traffic and air pollution, passenger rail projects, including Mountain Rail, will create Colorado jobs and boost economies throughout the state. This bill is a long time in the making, and I am excited to make significant progress towards passenger rail infrastructure.”
