2nd annual Maine Artist Film Series in July and August
The Waldo Theatre will host the first of three films about masterful Maine Artists. Beginning on Thursday, July 11 at 7 p.m. with “Jamie Wyeth and the Unflinching Eye,” the film series highlights the work of painters Jamie Wyeth and Carlo Pittore (July 25) and photographer Cig Harvey and artist/filmmaker Ian Cheney (Aug. 8). J. Marcos Rodríguez, a graduate student at the University of Maine, died suddenly at Harvard Forest on Tuesday. At the time of his death, Rodríguez was working at Harvard Forest as a mentor to undergraduate students in the Summer Research Program in Ecology. Fox asks different solar firm about prospective Wiscasset work
A week after Wiscasset’s Marty Fox suggested the town go out to bid on work Johnson Controls has proposed, Fox told selectmen July 2, his check with ReVision Energy indicated the town might, with that firm, save about $1 million. MADAWASKA, Maine (WAGM) - Golf is a lifetime sport with people playing the game into their 90′s and older. Some County and Western New Brunswick Clubs are no exception, as they have several members who are over the age of 90. Most of the older golfers enjoy a game with their friends at their local course, but a Madawaska golfer is one of the oldest active members of the Upper St John Valley Seniors Association.
