Eglin says Walton County residents might hear explosions on the range Monday

EGLIN AIR FORCE BASE — Eglin Air Force Base officials say Walton County residents might hear explosions Monday.

According to a news release, explosive ordinance disposal technicians will conduct a routine large disposal operation on the Eglin test range Monday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Those expected to hear the blasts live southwest of DeFuniak Springs. Residents in that area will hear two detonations during that timeframe.
