VS Engineering expands its footprint in Northwest Indiana

Indianapolis-based engineering firm VS Engineering plans to open a new office in Merrillville.

The company recently signed a lease to occupy about 3,500 square feet of office space in an eight-story office building in Merrillville.

“We are delighted to welcome VS Engineering to our building,” said Antony Miocic, Latitude Commercial Real Estate’s director of the office group, in a press release . “Their decision to establish a presence here underscores the attractiveness of Merrillville as a business location and the quality of our office spaces.”

Miocic and Brian Edgerton of NAI Hiffman represented the landlord of the property at 8585 Broadway in the transaction. Tom Hadley of Colliers represented VS Engineering.

VS Engineering is a civil engineering consulting firm. Bhagwan Patel founded the company in 1980, naming it after the initials of his two children Vandana and Sanjay. Today, VS Engineering has multiple offices in La Porte, Indiana, Ohio and Kentucky. The firm employs over 150 professionals.

The La Porte office worked on the South Shore Line's double-track project.

Latitude Commercial Real Estate provides commercial real estate and property management services. Aaron and Brett McDermott founded the company in 2009. Latitude Commercial Real Estate serves Northwest Indiana and the Chicago suburbs.
