In a shocking turn of events, Carl “Butch” Hoopingarner was given a term ranging from 20 years to life in prison for a crime that occurred more than thirty years ago, according to True Crime News. The case centers on James Bradley’s sad 1990 death which was first determined to be an accident caused by an automobile fire. But according to fresh information discovered by Ohio’s Guernsey County authorities Bradley’s tragic death was caused by a purposefully started fire. The fact that Bradley’s case was reopened in 2021 was a direct result of Butch Hoopingarner’s recent suspicion after another sad incident in Limon, Colorado. Butch Hoopingarner was implicated in the death of his roommate 64-year-old Everett Kerr after a welfare check uncovered Kerr’s lifeless body there. An altercation between the two men reportedly escalated resulting in Kerr’s tragic demise. Authorities tracked Butch Hoopingarner to Buffalo, Ohio where they discovered the vehicle of his deceased roommate Everett Kerr concealed on a property. The discovery led to a tense standoff that ended with Butch Hoopingarner surrendering to law enforcement.
