Walmart to provide free health screenings Saturday for Walmart Wellness Day
CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) — Walmart Wellness Day, a health-screening event, is scheduled for Saturday, August 3 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., according to a Walmart news release. Customers can reportedly receive a free glucose, BMI, cholesterol, and blood pressure screening as well as multiple "affordable" immunizations at more than 4,600 Walmart pharmacies nationwide.

Bamberg County Youth Attend State 4-H Congress
Over eighty 4-H’ers, volunteers, and agents spent four days at Clemson University for State 4-H Congress “Stars Shine Brighter Together” July 9-12. Delegates participated in professional development workshops, service projects, shooting range, campus tours, and project awards. Five delegates from Bamberg attended: Alayna Weilnau, Lawson Weilnau, Paige Ulmer, Reace Hutto and Caroline Bishop. Lawson Weilnau is a state winner with his 4-H Portfolio and won a trip to National 4-H Congress held in November. Alayna Weilnau won the top 4-H Award, Presidential Tray! Alayna and Lawson Weilnau served on State 4-H Teen Council, responsible for planning, organizing and leading the four-day event.
