R.E.M. Tribute Band to perform at Crystal Theatre
CRYSTAL FALLS – Fans of R.E.M. will want to see the highly-acclaimed tribute band Dead Letter Office perform at Crystal Theatre Friday, July 12 at 7 p.m. Dead Letter Office have dedicated themselves to faithfully reproducing the music and energy of a live R.E.M. show. Based out of western New York since 2014, the band has been thrilling audiences throughout the U.S. and Canada, providing a show that’s been missed since R.E.M. parted company.

IRON MOUNTAIN — Patrick “Pat” A. Kobe, 72, of Iron Mountain passed away Tuesday, June 25, 2024, at the Marshfield Medical Center – Dickinson in Iron Mountain. Pat was born October 5, 1951, in Calumet, MI, son of the late Peter and Christine (Plute) Kobe. He graduated from Calumet High School, Class of 1969, and went on to study electrical engineering at Michigan Technological University. He began his career at F.G. Bieti & Assoc., which later incorporated into Z & R Electric Services. He then took a position with Systems Control in Iron Mountain and finished out his career with Rockwell Automation in Kingsford, MI.
