Date Night: Country Club Plaza
For this month’s date night, head to the Country Club Plaza for one or more of these stellar options!. The Puttery is one of Kansas City’s newest entertainment venues. It’s like swanky lounge meets high-end Putt-Putt. I’ve honestly never been to a place quite like it—definitely the coolest mini golf course anywhere when it comes to the scenery. Some of the holes are quite challenging as well. Choose from three courses to play on, one for $18 or all three for $25. We chose the latter because it’s definitely the better deal. When you arrive at The Puttery, you check in with the main concierge who will give you the rundown. Then you can make your way to one of the golf courses or to one of several bar areas for drinks and food. Each course has digital scorecards and its own concierge who checks you in and delivers drinks to you if you choose to order any. We did not eat or drink while we were there, but we saw some pizzas and other things that looked delicious. We will be returning for sure!

More law enforcement out for holiday weekend
Trooper Chad Crittenden with the Kansas Highway Patrol talked to Hutch Post about the special enforcement campaign that is going on now through Labor Day. "Usually around the holiday weekends or major holidays, KDOT provides additional overtime for step funding," Trooper Crittenden said. "It's where we have a lot more troopers or officers all around the state, highly visible out there, but we are taking strict enforcement out there, just ensuring and trying to get that education out there. We try to do it through social media first and give the warnings that way, but again, we have to ensure that people are not impaired out on our roadways, not using their phones in ways they shouldn't be, and especially enforcing the speed and occupant protection violations."
Buildup to the Blitz: Wichita Heights driven to develop talent and experience
WICHITA, Kan. (KAKE) - Graduating 24 seniors from last season, experience is something Wichita Heights football will need to build back up this fall. "A lot of our team left last year," Wichita Heights senior running back Lucas Meyer said. "We're just filling in some pieces. We've got a lot of young talented dudes that will continue to make plays and it'll be critical throughout the season."
