FAIR HILL — As the end of July approaches, the Cecil County Fair returns for its 71st season, bringing events, rides, good eats and fun back to the county for what has become a summer staple for many. Workers were working hard to cap off weeks of preparation Thursday evening to get the Fairgrounds ready for the season, according to Don Moore, president of the Cecil County Fair Board of Directors. The Fair kicks off Friday afternoon, with the Midway opening at 5 p.m. Parking for the Cecil County Fair is free. Driver seriously injured after tree falls on SUV along I-476 in Delaware County
A driver was seriously injured on Thursday morning when a tree fell onto an SUV along I-476 in Delaware County.It happened around 11:05 a.m. in the northbound lanes, about a mile from the exit to West Chester Pike.Pennsylvania State Police say the driver was taken to the hospital by medics. That person's condition has not been released.Video from Chopper 6 showed the heavily damaged Toyota Rav 4 stopped on the highway. Lancaster Police investigating after knife pulled in local park
LANCASTER Pa. (WHTM) – Lancaster City Police say they’re investigating an incident involving a knife at a local park. Police say around 5:51 p.m. on Thursday an officer was waved down by a person who reported a knife being pulled on them at Culltion Park. The individual told police they tried to stop a fight when a man pulled a knife and made threatening statements.
