Man arrested after shots fired on Bay Bridge
ANNAPOLIS, MD—A man from Anne Arundel County was arrested Wednesday for shooting at the driver of a black Jeep on the Bay Bridge in June, the Maryland Transportation Authority announced in a press release. Melvin Clark, 41, of Severn, was charged with first-degree assault, reckless endangerment, driving a vehicle while impaired by alcohol and other charges, MDTA police said. Troopers rescue dog left unattended in hot vehicle
COLLEGE PARK, MD—Maryland State Police rescued a dog that was left unattended in a hot vehicle on Tuesday. Trooper Shane McGregor, assigned to the Aviation Command, assisted the College Park barrack with a reported dog left in a hot car on the shoulder of I-495 near the Baltimore-Washington Parkway on July 16th. Once on scene, troopers observed a dog left unattended in a vehicle with the windows rolled up and vehicle shut off. The dog was showing signs of heat exhaustion and needed immediate care. TOWSON, MD—Tanise Thornton-Fillyaw from Goucher College’s women’s track and field team has been named the USTFCCCA All-Academic Athlete for the second consecutive year. Maryland earmarks $35.8 million for Chesapeake Bay restoration projects
