A decision by the Francis Howell School District board to ban books with certain content has alarmed some students, parents and teachers. Motorcyclist seriously injured after deer collision west of Palmyra
A motorcyclist was seriously injured early Monday morning after colliding with a deer on Highway 168, two miles west of Palmyra, Missouri. The accident occurred at approximately 12:45 a.m., according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol. Warren W. Godfrey, 35, of Philadelphia, Missouri, was riding a 2008 Harley-Davidson eastbound on Highway 168 when the motorcycle struck a deer in the roadway. The impact caused the motorcycle to skid off the right side of the road and come to rest.
