The Novi planning commission reviewed a Special Land Use Permit for a proposed Culver’s last month. The upcoming Novi restaurant will be located west of Novi Road and north of West Oaks Drive . No final decisions were made during the planning commission meeting.

According to the submitted site plans, the new Culver’s with a drive-thru will be built on a vacant lot on the corner of Novi Rd and W. Oaks Dr, while vacating the existing N. Karevich Dr. The restaurant will feature a small dining area and a drive-thru lane with a four-car capacity, with a parking lot in the back. A private driveway will also be created to replace N. Karevich Dr. to still allow cars to cut through the lot.

The proposed Culver’s restaurant is owned and operated by local franchisee Charles Paisley of Union Pacific Holdings , who also owns other locations in Wixom, Brighton, Howell, and Lyon Township . What Now Detroit reached out to Paisley but hadn’t heard back by the time of this coverage.

The proposed location is across the street from Red Lobster and the Twelve Oaks Mall complex. Other businesses nearby include Carrabba’s Italian Grill, Chick-fil-A, and a few major retailers.
