CSULB School of Nursing ranked No. 1 in California
Cal State Long Beach’s School of Nursing has been recognized as the top nursing program in California, according to RNcareers.org’s 9th annual Nursing School Review. RNCareers.org evaluated more than 1,700 nursing schools to compile its merit-based rankings. Factors include program accreditation, tuition costs, academic excellence, faculty qualifications, student satisfaction, program offerings, career outcomes and school reputation.

Dr. Angelo Farooq Announces Departure from RUSD Board After Nine Years of Service
Dr. Angelo Farooq, who represents Trustee Area 3 on the Riverside Unified School District (RUSD) Board of Education, announced Thursday that he no longer seeks reelection. Farooq, the district’s first Asian American school board member, says he will complete the remainder of his term on the board, which ends on December 13, 2024.

SACRAMENTO, Calif. (AP) — A Southern California school district involved in an ongoing legal battle with the state over the district’s gender-identity policy sued Democratic Gov. Gavin Newsom Tuesday over a new law banning districts from requiring that parents be notified of their child’s gender identification change.
