Adult Entertainer Austin Wolf Arrested in New York on Child Pornography Charges

NEW YORK, NY — James Smith, known professionally as adult film star Austin Wolf, has been arrested and charged in New York with the distribution and receipt of child pornography, according to the Southern District of New York.

Smith is scheduled to appear in Manhattan federal court on Friday to face one count of distribution and receipt of child pornography. The charges stem from allegations that Smith used the messaging app Telegram to exchange hundreds of videos with another individual, whose phone was seized by the FBI. Prosecutors allege that an undercover FBI agent used the seized Telegram account to communicate with Smith.

In April, federal authorities conducted a search of Smith’s Manhattan apartment, where they reportedly recovered an SD card containing hundreds of videos depicting child pornography. The videos allegedly depicted children as young as infants, including one instance where a 10-year-old child was bound and assaulted.

FBI Assistant Director in Charge James Smith emphasized the severity of the charges, stating, “I want to make it clear: those who distribute child sexual abuse images prey upon the most vulnerable in our society. Each image is a crime scene, leaving lasting scars on innocent victims.”

The charge against Smith carries a mandatory minimum sentence of five years in prison and a maximum of 20 years. Information regarding legal representation for Smith was not immediately known.
