(MA) Meet Yoda, a tiny 9-pound senior Shih Tzu who is ready to steal your heart. This little pup is an older boy who has lived his life loved by a caring owner. Sadly, his owner recently passed away, and their family was not able to take care of Yoda. Luckily, Great Dog Rescue New England was able to take him in and place him safely with a foster. He still has a lot of life left in him, and he hopes to spend the majority of it snoozing in YOUR bed.

A worker died Aug. 5 when the crane he was operating toppled at a wind farm construction site in remote Natrona County, state and local officials say. The victim, John William Hoffpauir, Jr., 55, of Houma, Louisiana, was working as a crane operator at the Cedar Springs wind energy construction site north of Casper and Glenrock under the control of Blattner Energy at the time of the accident. Gov. Ron DeSantis has issued a state of emergency in Northeast Florida and across much of the state as a tropical system appears almost certain to develop. The National Hurricane Center said Friday morning that a tropical wave has a 90% chance of developing into at least a tropical depression over the next seven days. Most models show it moving into the Gulf of Mexico and then coming ashore and crossing the state, possibly moving over Northeast Florida.

Major changes to how real estate transactions are conducted are set to take affect this month that will effect how both sellers, and buyers, compensate their agents. On March 15, the National Association of Realtors (NAR) settled a lawsuit brought by home sellers regarding how broker commissions were handled. As a result of that settlement, the NAR will remove agent compensation amounts from Multiple Listing Services, provide detailed compensation information to buyers and sellers and attain a written agreement outlining that compensation structure.
