Nyack's firework display will be on a barge in the Hudson River off the coast of Memorial Park for the first time this year. News 12 got a look at the set up in Upper Nyack at the North River Shipyard, who is actually the business donating the barge being used to make it all happen. The other group behind it, Fireworks Extravaganza, began preparations so the barge can head down the river in the afternoon. Tonight's show will last about 20 minutes and use 1,300 firework shells. Being on the water allows them to use water cakes that will look like effects are coming out of the river. The Great Lawn is still being renovated, so that area will be closed for viewing but the rest of the park is open. The show will start at 9:30 p.m. pending on inclement weather. "
