Firefighters battled a blaze in a waste management building in Avon, Massachusetts, on Monday morning. Mass. weather: Chance of rain, thunderstorms almost daily this week
After a pleasant day with highs in the mid-80s, Massachusetts will experience unsettled weather Monday evening that could be marked by heavy rainfall and localized flooding. But National Weather Service forecasters say the heaviest rainfall is likely to occur offshore, though there is a chance Nantucket, Martha’s Vineyard or even Cape Cod are hit hard.
