ECU Health Medical Center Electrophysiology Lab is the first hospital lab in North Carolina to earn accreditation by the Intersocietal Accreditation Commission (IAC) in cardiac electrophysiology in the areas of testing and ablation, device implantation and left atrial appendage occlusion, ECU Health announced. One person from North Carolina is sick in a multi-state Listeria outbreak possibly connected to deli meat, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said Friday.The CDC said many people in the outbreak reported eating meat sliced at deli counters prior to getting sick. Twenty-eight people have been infected in 12 states, including North Carolina.
