Rain nixes Langley Speedway, 100 lap Late Model race
Like South Boston, Langley Speedway was also rained out as lingering thunderstorms put a halt to MGL Granite Race Night in Hampton, Virginia. The event would have been headlined by a 100 lap feature for the Late Model Stock division, which has a tremendous championship battle between Greg Edwards, Mark Wertz, Danny Edwards Jr. and Woody Howard.

CHESAPEAKE, VA (WTKR)- If you walked into Dick's House of Sport in Chesapeake on Saturday, you may have noticed a little more silver and blue flavor than usual in the venue. ODU Fan Fest hit the store from 11:00 AM- 4:00 PM, giving the Monarch faithful the chance to get their hands on some new Monarch apparel, chat with other fans, enjoy some games and take in head football coach Ricky Rahne's first radio show of the season. It was a great chance for those who will fill the seats in the fall to meet and celebrate and a nice opportunity for Rahne to venture away from the football complex during a busy time.
