OAK HILL, WV (LOOTPRESS) – Hidden Valley Center, a skilled nursing and rehabilitation center based in Oak Hill, WV, has earned the Bronze – Commitment to Quality Award for 2024 from the American Health Care Association and National Center for Assisted Living (AHCA/NCAL).

This award recognizes the center’s dedication to enhancing the lives of residents through quality care. It is the first level of three progressive award levels through the AHCA/NCAL National Quality Award Program.

The Program acknowledges providers nationwide that have shown their commitment to improving the quality of care for elderly individuals and those with disabilities.

Lauren Murray, Senior Vice President of Operations for Genesis HealthCare, expressed pride in Hidden Valley’s achievement, stating, “We are so proud of the Hidden Valley team for being honored with a Bronze award. Quality care is at the core of everything they do.”

The AHCA/NCAL National Quality Award Program involves a rigorous three-level process evaluated by trained experts against nationally recognized standards for organizational excellence. The Baldrige Performance Excellence Program’s standards guide organizations in achieving superior performance over time to enhance the quality of life and care of long-term care residents.

Providers begin the quality improvement journey at the Bronze level, where they develop an organizational profile outlining their vision, mission, key customers, and key strengths and challenges. Bronze applicants must also demonstrate the use of a performance improvement system, and trained examiners review each application to determine if a center has met the criteria.

Cathy Bergland, AHCA/NCAL National Quality Award Board Chair, congratulated Hidden Valley Center for its achievement, emphasizing the significance of the award as the beginning of an exciting journey towards excellence.

The National Quality Awards ceremony will take place during Delivering Solutions 24 , the AHCA/NCAL Convention & Expo, scheduled for October 6-9, 2024, in Orlando, Florida.
