$74,000 in counterfeit money recovered in Alderson
ALDERSON W.Va. (Hinton News) - Police in Alderson have recovered an astounding $74,000 in counterfeit money following an investigation. According to an official statement, the counterfeit money was "in denominations of 20, 50 and 100 dollar bills." Officers remind the public to "Please be responsible and diligent by checking the bills at your businesses and or if you sell something." The statement advised that, "These bills, while they look authentic, are not. Printed in the top right corner is 'For Motion Picture Purposes.'" Officials advise if any of these bills are passed to please contact Chief Todd Williams at 304-445-2355 or 304-667-9000.
