The Child Advocacy Center of Anderson County will host a forum July 25 for political candidates to talk about what they plan to do for children if elected to office.

"Hand in Hand for Children" will be at 6:30 p.m. at Roane State Community College in Oak Ridge, 701 Briarcliff Ave. It will be hosted by Don Hudson of WATE-TV Channel 6. Doors open at 6 p.m.

Each candidate will be allowed to speak for three minutes.

Candidates are asked to bring a dessert (homemade or store-bought) to be auctioned off by Wiliam "Bear" Stephenson. Funds raised will go toward repairs to the Child Advocacy Center of Anderson County’s property.

The Child Advocacy Center of Anderson County Tennessee Inc. is a nonprofit chartered by the state of Tennessee to serve child abuse victims in Anderson County. The Center works to strengthen families and bring healing and justice for children who have experienced abuse.
