    Police search for tips after Blount County man killed in Oak Ridge crash

    OAK RIDGE, Tenn. (WATE) — A Louisville man died in a single-vehicle crash in Oak Ridge Thursday night according to the Oak Ridge Police Department.

    In a release shared on Friday, police said officers responded to the 200 block of Lafayette Drive at 8:55 p.m. after receiving a report about an erratic driver at 8:51 p.m., followed by a report of a crash just two minutes later.

    When officers arrived, they began life-saving measures until Oak Ridge Fire Department firefighters and Anderson County Emergency Medical Services medics arrived. The life-saving measures were not successful.

    Oak Ridge police released that William F. Alldis, 34, of Louisville, was pronounced dead at the scene. His body was taken to the Knox County Regional Forensic Center.

    ORPD crash reconstructionists are investigating the crash. The department said the investigation is ongoing.

    Anyone with information that may help investigators is asked to call the Oak Ridge Police Department at 865-425-4399 or submit a tip online at oakridgetn.gov . ORPD adds that information can be given anonymously.
