Events for the 66th Oakboro Fourth of July Celebration include:
Friday
• 6 p.m. – Rides open on the midway (armbands, ride all night for one price).
8:30 p.m. – Beach music with “The Entertainers.”
Saturday
• 6 p.m. – Rides open on the midway (armbands, ride all night for one price).
• 6 p.m. – Annual Little Miss 4th of July Pageant.
• 8 p.m. – Sign up for the local talent show.
• 8:30 p.m. – Country recording artist Ryan Perry.
Monday
• 6 p.m. – Rides open on the midway (armbands, ride all night for one price).
• 7 p.m. Sign up for local talent show.
• 8:30 p.m. – 80s Night with 80s tribute band Cassette Rewind. Come dressed in your best 80s outfit.
July 2
• 6 p.m. – Rides open on the midway (armbands, ride all night for one price).
• 6 p.m. – Annual local talent showcase.
• 8:30 pm – Beach music with The Embers, featuring Craig Woolard.
July 3
• 6 p.m. – Rides open on the midway (armbands, ride all night for one price).
• 8:30 p.m. – Country recording artist Taylor Richardson.
July 4
• 9 a.m. – 66th annual Fourth of July Parade on Main Street.
• 11 a.m. – Rides open on the midway; Opening Ceremonies; Miss Stanly County Fire Queen Pageant; BBQ Lunch at the Oakboro Fire Dept.
• 8:30 p.m. – Too Much Sylvia performs.
• 10:30 p.m. – Raffle Drawing
• 11:30 p.m. – Annual fireworks display.
